My cousin, Martin, and I hit one of the best geocaches I’ve ever done this morning. We set off at 6:30 in hopes of getting it done before it got too late (since I did have to go to work as well). The cache is called C’ISHMU and involved leading us through Nature’s Playground via a number of clues to an old Chumash cave painting. It involved finding a rock crevice using compass bearings and pictures (in the fog!), climbing down and through several boulder caves, over several large boulders, and finally squeezing through a rock crevice called The Narrows (for good reason). Not only did we get to explore one of Santa Barbara’s great outdoor secrets, but we had a blast doing it. If you haven’t given geocaching a try I would definitely recommend giving it a go.
Now that’s a Cache

What a catch! Now I’ll bet my nephew and you were having quite the time squeezing between those boulders in the fog and coming up with such an interesting find.
